Lions Project New Hope of Washington State
A 501c3 Non-Profit Corporation and Multiple District 19 Lions Organization

Project New Hope exists to provide veteran retreats for families or couples through a wilderness getaway.

It is our goal to provide veterans and their families with
talks and discussions about issues they care about, which hopefully lead to improved skills and tools for managing lives  :: repair of relationships is a primary goal. And of course, to have fun in the process!

There is no cost to participants, because people in the community and organizations sponsor guests and pay the nonrefundable fees and costs.

THANK YOU!
Wednesday morning at 9am, Dec 21st, we met at Patriot's Landing in Dupont and Dr Col (Ret) Al Buck, president of Madigan Foundation, presented a check for $4,000 to Project New Hope. This donation will allow us to do a family retreat this summer.

In attendance: Bill Miller (Zone C chaiir), John Christiansen (Board Mbr), Joel Graves (Past Exec Dir), Al Buck, Dee McDermott (Board Mbr), LTC Jason Wing - commander Warrior Transition Battalion, and Woody Stone - WTB Outreach Coordinator.

  Nisqually Grant Presentation Dinner

THANK YOU!
Thursday evening, Dec 14th, the Nisqually Indian Tribe awarded Project New Hope with an $8,000 grant. Their generosity will allow us to do two family retreats and reach more veterans and families than we thought possible.

Pictured here: Tribal Council Members - Brian McCloud, Stephanie Scott, Cynthia Iyall (Tribal Chair), William Frank III, and Jean Sanders, then Project New Hope Executive Committee members, Dee McDermott, Pat Bucknell, Bill Evans and Ed Kane.

All of this is possible because people in your community care, including members of your local Lions Club. They care so much that they are willing to donate their money, their time, and their presence to make sure every veteran and their family get a chance to find a little help, people who care, a whole lot of fun, and a whole lot of hope for the future. Stop by and visit a local Lions club soon.
